1st and 2nd Shift Forklift Operator (START ASAP)

Job Description

This role involves overall responsibility for material handling, including receiving products via railcar and truckload, scanning, and placing them in designated warehouse locations. The forklift operator will pick orders, stage and scan products, and load materials onto outbound trailers while performing trailer inspections. Maintaining 100% inventory integrity and accurately recording product locations are essential components of this role.

2nd shift - 2:30pm to 11pm Monday to Friday

$22/hr

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process products from railcar and truckload shipments.
  • Scan products and place them in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick and stage orders for shipment.
  • Load materials onto outbound trailers, ensuring proper trailer inspections.
  • Maintain 100% inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Record and submit product locations and any location changes.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including cleaning and maintaining forklift and clamp equipment.
  • Accurately maintain all SOPs, documents, and procedures.
  • Use barcoding scanners to scan products into and out of the Abecas system.
  • Ensure all paperwork is submitted to the office for processing.
  • Complete tasks on the Daily Building Checklist.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with forklift operations.
  • Proficiency in picking and scanning.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners.
  • Experience with sit-down forklifts.
  • Strong material handling skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Active forklift operating certificate preferred, with recertification available onsite if expired.
  • Steel-toed shoes are required.

Work Environment

Work in a cold storage facility with a schedule from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The position requires steel-toed shoes for safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
