Duties & Responsibilities
Since 2016, Correctional Health Services (CHS) has been the direct provider of health care in the New York City jails. Deeply committed to human dignity and patient rights, CHS is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals system and is a key partner in the City’s efforts to reform the criminal-legal system. Our in-jail clinical services include medical, nursing, and mental health care; substance-use treatment; social work; dental and vision care; discharge planning; and reentry support.
CHS also is a key partner in the City’s efforts to reform the criminal-legal system. In this role, CHS also operates the citywide Forensic Psychiatric Evaluation Court Clinics (FPECC). The mission of the CHS Forensic Psychiatry Evaluation Court Clinics (FPECC) is to provide objective, high quality forensic mental health examinations for New York City’s criminal court system. FPECC reports shall provide relevant clinical and scientific data to aid the Court in making final legal determinations regarding fitness and/or sentencing.
Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Coordinating Manager with latitude for independent initiative, the Assistant Coordinating Manager oversees the daily operations of the relevant Forensic Psychiatric Evaluation Court Clinics. Operations entail the receipt of, scheduling, and efficient processing of all CPL 730 and 390 evaluations referred to the clinic. In addition to the processing of orders, the ACM maintains a safe, professional, and strategically innovative work environment. Technological skill and working knowledge of legal processes preferred.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Community Health, Psychology or related discipline with one year of full-time experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in business management systems, general administration, health care and medical/patient systems administration; or,
2. A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
