This position provides assistance in the preparation of meals and delivers prepared food in proper containers to clients assigned through specific routes and designated time periods.
Practices proper food handling techniques and food safety procedures to prevent food contamination/poisoning and to ensure the quality of food is maintained.
Follows safety procedures within the kitchen to promote a safe working environment.
Ensures all food products (hot and cold) are kept in the proper thermal carrying bag.
Performs cleaning duties to meet sanitation requirements.
Assists with the overall cleaning of all pots and pans.
Delivers meals promptly to comply with the HHSC guidelines.
Serves food and beverages to meet clients’ nutritional needs.
Ensures the equipment is in good working order and requests repair work as needed.
Attends and participates in all mandatory training requirements.
Performs any other duties assigned.
