This position supports food production, serving, sanitation, storage, and meal delivery activities that contribute to safe and efficient operations at Selinsgrove Center. As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Food Preparation:Prepare simple food items and organize ingredients for daily meal production
  • Tray Assembly:Portion food items, read diet information, and assemble accurate trays for meal service
  • Sanitation Tasks:Clean and sanitize equipment, dishes, floors, and work areas to maintain safe conditions
  • Storage Work:Store food items using proper rotation, label supplies, and load or unload carts and shelves
  • Equipment Handling:Operate dishwashers, carts, elevators, and basic food service tools safely and correctly
  • Meal Delivery:Deliver and return carts, stock dining areas, and support special meal needs across the center

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment - 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 2nd shift (11:30 AM to 8:00 PM), on a rotating schedule, with every third weekend off and a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime: As needed
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
