Judge Direct Placement is seeking a degreed Food Technology Senior Scientist in Louisville, KY area!
Responsibilities:
- Lead all technical aspects of the product phase
- Supervise all direct reports including performance reviews and feedback
- Select best quality and cost of raw materials, finished product, and packaging supplies
- Work with brands to produce labels and ensure all packaging meets legal requirements
- Bring attention to all quality issues and work with recall coordinator as needed
- Lead technicians in all trial work
- Prepare and maintain all formulas, materials, and documents
- Analyze all customer comments
- Resolve issues with outside suppliers and manufacturing plants
- Prioritize product quality opportunities
- Lead all product issues to resolution
- Monitor change in targets
- Travel to plants, vendors, and industry locations as needed
- Follow all established programs, policies, and practices to meet quality regulatory and company requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, industry experience preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in product development
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to launch new product in a changing environment
- Knowledge of key regulations
