We are hiring for multiple Flight RN - Kite Flight opportunities. This posting is for multiple openings of Flight RN - Kite Flight at Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, TX.

Available Job Types: Full Time, Supplemental or Per Diem

Available Shift: Variable including flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements

Flight RN - Kite Flight at Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, TX

Flight Nurse is part of the specialty transport team of experts to safely transport patients between medical facilities and accident scenes. An important aspect includes collaboration with other medical and emergency service providers for the purpose of establishing continuity of care by applying problem solving strategies to patient case challenges, adapting to a dynamic and challenging environment, and advancing treatment modalities/interventions with the end goals of providing the highest patient care and improving patient outcomes.

***Please note that this position is onsite and therefore requires the ability to commute to Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, TX.***

Required Qualifications: 

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Trauma Nursing Core Course - Emergency Nurses Association within 1 year of hire
  • Neonatal Pediatric Transport Subspecialty Certification (C-NPT) within 2 years of hire -OR- 
  • Registered Nurse Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) within 2 years of hire -OR- 
  • Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) within 2 years of hire
  • 3 years of acute care nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of PICU, NICU, and/or Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
  • 3 years of Flight Nursing/Specialty Transport Nursing experience
