About the Role

We are seeking an experiencedFleet Operations Managerto oversee day‑to‑day fleet operations for a large, multi‑location vehicle fleet. This role is highly customer‑facing and combines fleet management, vendor coordination, and operational oversight to ensure safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.

The Fleet Operations Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while managing a fleet of approximately1,500 vehicles across multiple geographies, including Midland, TX; Pecos, TX; and Carlsbad, NM. This role reports toseniorleadership and works closely with corporate operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee fleet operations, safety, and regulatory compliance in accordance with company standards
  • Manage the full vehicle lifecycle, including acquisition, maintenance, inspections, repairs, and disposal
  • Serve as the primary contact for drivers, vendors, and internal partners
  • Coordinate with maintenance providers and vendors to ensure timely service and cost control
  • Track inventory, optimize operating costs, and implement preventive maintenance strategies
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, MVR, and company safety policies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet productivity and service quality
  • Provide day‑to‑day account and customer support for a large enterprise client
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience managing vehicle fleets, including repair, maintenance, and logistics
  • 2–5 years of customer service, vendor management, or client account support experience, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Strong knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance processes, and vendor coordination
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to be on your feet and active for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to pass an MVR check

Work Environment
  • Fully onsite at a client location inMidland, TX, with responsibility for supporting multiple regional fleet locations
  • Fast‑paced, operational environment with frequent interaction across teams and vendors
Compliance Requirements

  • Drug test required (including ad‑hoc testing during assignment)
  • Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midland, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $30.00/hr.
