Fleet Mechanic

Join our team as a skilled Mechanic, where you will provide maintenance for a diverse fleet of Ford and Dodge service trucks, both gas and diesel, as well as forklifts, various models of tractors, and flatbed trailers. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of our equipment and contribute to our mission of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform mid-level mechanic work on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance service, brake service, and hydraulic system repairs.
• Inspect and diagnose vehicle condition, identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules and perform necessary procedures.
• Conduct test drives and adjust vehicle controls and systems to verify performance.
• Maintain detailed vehicle records, documenting services and repairs.
• Ensure shop equipment is operational by following instructions, troubleshooting, and performing maintenance.
• Manage costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service and parts options.
• Inventory stock, place orders, and verify receipt to keep supplies ready.

• Experience in diesel and gas engine repair.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic systems.
• Basic knowledge of operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and man lifts.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot engines and perform preventive maintenance.

• Completion of tech school in Diesel Mechanic or Engine repair is a plus.
• Possession of a CDL is preferred.
• Welding and fabricating skills are a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southbridge, MA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Southbridge,MA.
