Position Summary

We are seeking a Certified Flavor Chemist to lead the development and optimization of flavor systems across a diverse range of food and beverage applications. This individual will play a critical role in driving innovation, supporting customer projects, and collaborating cross-functionally to bring high-quality flavor solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and formulate new flavor profiles aligned with customer specifications, application requirements, and market trends
  • Conduct sensory evaluation and analytical testing to assess flavor performance across applications
  • Partner directly with customers and internal teams to execute and finalize development projects
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, QA, Regulatory, and Production to ensure successful commercialization
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging ingredients, and technologies to drive innovation
  • Maintain detailed documentation of formulations, trials, and sensory data
  • Troubleshoot formulation and application challenges, including stability and performance issues
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Partner with suppliers to evaluate and source new raw materials and flavor ingredients
  • Ensure all formulations meet regulatory, safety, and labeling requirements
  • Support training and development of junior flavorists and lab personnel


Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Certified member of the Society of Flavor Chemists
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Certified Flavorist (targeting 5-7+ years total experience)
  • Strong background in flavor development, with demonstrated success in commercial applications
  • Experience with reaction flavors and scale-up processes preferred
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of flavor formulation, ingredient functionality, and regulatory labeling
  • Experience with pilot plant and commercialization processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems
  • Experience with formulation or ERP systems (e.g., Sage X3 or similar) preferred

  • Exposure to food production environments, including allergens and varying conditions
  • On-site role (non-hybrid)
