This position will drive segment marketing activities for Winbond’s Flash Memory Solutions
Customer, Chipset Partner Promotion, Business Development and Marcom Support
- Engage and drive promotional, design-in and qualification activities for the assigned segment
- Drive reference design-ins with chipset/MCU partners and facilitate effective communication to enables end-customer usage worldwide.
- Visit major OEMs, ODMs, CMs customers on a regular basis to present technical product updates and roadmaps
- Explore new and emerging market segments to grow flash utilization
- Orchestrate communication with major customers (in conjunction with sales) for price recommendation, strategy setting, product qualification, and drive customer specific issues to resolution
- Define and drive business development activity to meet or exceeds business plan targets
- Create market segment-oriented collaterals to convey value proposition and benefits of Winbond products
- Deliver regular market segment reports including analysis of TAM/SAM/SOM, application and market trends, ecosystem stakeholders, competitive environment, segment roadmap, application requirement and strategies, and business plans
- Conduct segment training for sales and marketing team members to elevate team members’ segment knowledge and expertise
- Provide weekly and quarterly market/product/business updates
- Author or review press releases for product, customer, and chipset related press releases
- Manage and trade shows
- Author assigned product promotional articles and white papers
Technical responsibilities
- Product and life cycle management
- Product and feature definition – creating and authoring specs and datasheets
- Technical and design-in support with customers and chipset partners
- Flash ecosystem support
- Technical promotion of Winbond products, features and technologies
- Creation of promotional materials such as New Production Training, Application Notes, Technical Articles, and Press Releases
- Interface with the factory engineering teams for problem solving
- Competitive comparisons, cross reference analysis, and 3rd party programmer support
- Forecasting
Customer Tracking and Reports
- Track, analyze and follow-up on opportunities (leads, quotes, samples, etc.)
- Monitor field forecast and work with sales to meet or exceed plan
- Oversee generation of periodic reports (bookings, billing, backlog, etc.,) as needed
- Present status on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis
Provide Market Feedback
- Investigate customer and system requirements for product definition, business opportunities, competition and ecosystem requirement
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in evangelizing and promoting to chipset partners, customers and interfacing and training the sales teams (direct sales, manufacturing reps, distribution channels)
- Solid understanding of AI, Datacenter and server-based systems and how memories, especially code storage Flash, are used; understanding of flash memory technology is not required but a plus
- Working knowledge of the interaction between code/data and their storage and usage in memory hierarchy
- Candidate needs engineering background to understand SoC partner’s memory requirement and market trend, providing that information to production marketing to define the new memory space.
- Candidate needs well established technical background to understand customer system design requirement to give appropriate memory solution to customer
- Working knowledge of firmware, drivers and how they are used in embedded systems
- Demonstrated track record in driving successful segment marketing, business development, and customers design-in activities that contributed to consistent revenue growth
- Fluent communication and presentation skills
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office tools
- BSEE in Electrical or Computer Engineering; MBA a plus
- More than 10 years of experience in a technology company as an engineer and/or marketing professional; with a minimum of 5 years in marketing
- A willingness to travel
