Our client, an industry leader in gas turbine and rotating equipment manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Fitter/Welder to join their team. As a Fitter/Welder, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department supporting the assembly and maintenance of critical equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay Range: $35hr

Shift:1st shift

What's the Job?

  • Perform fitting, tacking, and welding of components following detailed drawings and welding standards.
  • Inspect, repair, replace, and maintain mechanical components on gas turbines and compressor packages.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, quality control, and other crafts to ensure seamless production processes.
  • Operate cutting rigs, welding machinery, and measuring tools with precision and safety.
  • Interpret complex assembly instructions, blueprints, and specifications to meet production goals.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma, GED, or 10+ years of relevant stainless steel pipe welding experience; technical certificates and work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly of rotating equipment manufacturing or related shop environment.
  • Proficiency in welding, inspection, and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with gas turbine mechanical work and overhaul preferred, with specific knowledge of Siemens Energy Turbomachinery assembly a plus.
  • Ability to maintain welding certifications and adhere to safety and environmental standards.
