Job Title: Fitter Helper
Job Description

Join our team as a Fitter Helper, where you will play a critical role in supporting the production of Cable Management systems for data centers. You will assist fitters in preparing materials using various hand tools and equipment, with a significant portion of your day dedicated to grinding materials using a hand grinder. This role is labor-intensive and involves various setup functions and general shop duties such as cleanup and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist fitters in preparing materials using hand tools and equipment.
  • Spend a significant portion of the day grinding materials with a hand grinder.
  • Perform setup functions for materials as required.
  • Engage in general shop duties such as cleanup and organization.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Welder Helper.
  • Proficiency in using a grinder.
  • Experience in grinding, fabrication, and welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Any additional weld preparation or welding experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a non-air-conditioned shop with approximately 45 colleagues. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift, and regular hours will be on the 2nd shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, with a shift differential. Dress code adheres to standard shop safety requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
