Position Summary
The Firearms Technical Specialist serves as a subject matter expert on Canik USA firearms, providing advanced technical guidance, product expertise, and diagnostic support to customers, dealers, and internal teams. This role focuses on deep product knowledge, mechanical troubleshooting, and performance optimization across the Canik product line.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, extensive firearms knowledge, and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical information authority on all Canik firearms, accessories, and related systems for consumer-related matters
- Assist with ecommerce development including product descriptions and information
- Drive daily maintenance of ecommerce order-related inquiries
- Represent the product management team in the industry network
- Analyze product feedback and identify trends to support continuous improvement and product quality
- Document technical findings, recurring issues, and resolutions within internal systems
- Partner with Product Development and other departments to resolve complex technical matters
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, manuals, and support resources
- Support product launches by developing deep expertise in new models, features, and enhancements
- Educate internal teams and external partners on product specifications, capabilities, and proper use
- Stay current on industry trends, firearm technology, and applicable regulations
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in a technical product, support, or specialist role (firearms or mechanical products preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of firearms, including handgun platforms and safe handling practices
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively
- Proficiency with CRM or internal tracking systems and standard computer applications
Preferred:
- Prior experience in the firearms industry or as a certified armorer
- Military, law enforcement, or competitive shooting background
- Experience with firearm diagnostics, repair, or quality control processes
- Exposure to supporting dealer networks or product distribution channels
