Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to support a large, mission-critical airport environment operating 24/7 at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport. This individual will be responsible for the inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems across terminals, concourses, and critical infrastructure spaces. The role plays a key part in ensuring life-safety compliance, system reliability, and uninterrupted airport operations. Ideal candidates are certified fire sprinkler professionals with strong troubleshooting skills, a safety-first mindset, and experience working in high-occupancy or mission-critical facilities.



Required Skills & Experience

- NICET Level II (minimum) in Fire Sprinkler Inspection & Testing OR Georgia Fire Sprinkler Inspector License

- Hands-on experience inspecting, testing, and maintaining: Wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems

- Experience working under a Georgia Licensed Fire Sprinkler Contractor for permitted work and system impairments

- Strong working knowledge of: Control valves, supervisory devices, alarm interfaces AND Fire pumps and fire-side backflow preventers

- Understanding of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 standards

- Experience documenting inspections and maintaining compliance records

- Ability to pass: 10-year criminal background check and Airport badging/fingerprinting process

- Safety-first mindset with strong troubleshooting skills



Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- NICET Level III certification

- Georgia Fire Sprinkler / Inspector License

- Experience in mission-critical or high-occupancy facilities: Airports, hospitals, data centers, transportation hubs

-Commercial fire sprinkler experience (residential acceptable if certified)

-Experience using CMMS platforms (Hexagon preferred)

-Open availability across all shifts



Day-to-Day:

- Perform scheduled inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance per NFPA 25

- Maintain fire suppression systems in inspection-ready condition at all times

- Inspect and support: Sprinkler systems, fire pumps, valves, supervisory controls

- Accurately document deficiencies, impairments, and corrective actions

- Coordinate system restoration and permitted work with licensed contractors

- Troubleshoot deficiencies to minimize repeat issues

- Support life-safety compliance and uninterrupted airport operations

- Work across terminals, concourses, tunnels, mechanical rooms, and support spaces

- Adhere to OSHA, airport, plumbing code, and site safety standards


Compensation:

  • $34–$37/hr
  • Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
  • Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
