Position Overview

MadaLuxe is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to conduct quality analyses on precious metals, diamonds, colored gemstones, and overall production/design standards to ensure they meet the required needs of IPPOLITA’s final products. The Quality Assurance Specialist will review all incoming production deliveries and ad hoc projects as needed in a timely and efficient manner. The Quality Assurance Specialist should have prior experience in grading precious metals, gemstones, and finished goods with a strong adherence to deadlines. This position is fully on-site at our headquarters location in Seal Beach, CA


  • Lead initial production approval process including evaluation of merchandise, documentation, analysis, and communication of evaluation results.
  • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for QA procedures to be used by IPPOLITA team.
  • Perform XRF Analysis on incoming components and finished goods.
  • Research and resolve special projects related to specific product and process defects. Work closely with Repairs, Returns, Product Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Operations teams.
  • Audit in-process and finished good products at contractors and suppliers as needed.
  • Assist in documentation of defects and communication with contractors and suppliers.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years jewelry experience preferred
  • GIA or similar gemology certification preferred
  • Experienced working as part of a team
  • Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and inspection processes
  • Must be able to understand design spec sheets
  • Attention to detail with ability to work on long-term and short-term projects, including the ability to inspect merchandise for corrective action purposes as required
  • Strong organizational and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, self-motivated working style are required
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
