Role: Financial Services Representative (Life New Business)
Pay Rate: $19 per hour, paid weekly
Location of Assignment: Hybrid
(Monday/Thursday-Friday - Remote, Tues-Wednesday - Grandview office (H building, 3rd floor))
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Flexible hours b/w 8:00a-8:00p EST
No time-off allowed from 6/8 - 7/10
Target Start Date: 06/08/2026, upon completion of new hire onboarding
Job Overview:
The Financial Services Representative provides prompt and efficient service to internal and external customers within assigned products or service centers. This role involves consulting on and interpreting contract provisions for both current and legacy products, as well as assumed business, for policyholders, agents/brokers, and other enterprise units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries from customers, brokers, agents, and government agencies in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate effectively with customers, agency/brokerage partners, service centers, and internal/external stakeholders through both written and verbal channels
- Assist customers with financial transactions in accordance with company policies
- Interpret contract provisions for current and legacy products, including assumed business
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings, contract provisions, processing systems, and applicable federal and state regulations
- Identify and resolve routine processing errors
- Recognize complex or exception cases and escalate to senior team members as needed
- Process monetary transactions within assigned authority limits
- Review and analyze records and reports to support accurate decision-making
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma, Undergraduate studies desirable.
- Participation in technical coursework such as LOMA, CLU, ChFC desirable.
- NASD series 6 and/or 26 preferred, and may be required based on assigned product/line-of-business or distribution system.
Experience: 3 years of work experience with two years product-related customer service work experience preferred. Work experience with undergraduate studies preferred.
Knowledge
- General office practices, customer service, and office equipment.
- Information systems and insurance/financial services industry practices (i.e. annuities, mutual funds) preferred.
- Basic mathematics, familiarity with office filing systems and record keeping procedures, and problem-solving techniques.
Skills:
- Ability to prioritize own work within standards.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and management. Decision making skills necessary for customer contacts.
- Ability to identify and evaluate problems and analyze customer inquiries and determine the appropriate action.
- Proven ability to operate a CRT and PC.
