MajorDuties

  • As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0501-07/09, you will perform duties such as: GS: 07-Professional work requiring the application of accounting, budgeting, and manpower principles, theories, concepts, and practices to ensure that financial management, manpower, and accounting systems produce accurate results and meet legal and regulatory requirements. Incumbent performs work which requires adaptation of current or purposed systems and processes and a knowledge of automated resource management systems. GS: 09- Processes data and performs broad-in-depth financial analysis of interrelated accounting, military and civilian pay, accounts payable and receivable, and various travel entitlements to resolve especially difficult and sensitive, out-of-balance conditions associated with processing actions within Financial Management systems. Analyzes and evaluates data to conduct a variety of fiscal reconciliations, reviews, and account adjustments. Reconciles Resource Center Manager (RCM) accounts ensuring data integrity. Coordinates with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) and posts validated accounts to the General Ledger. Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements. Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: To qualify for the National Guard GS-0501 Title 32 Excepted Service positions, on the basis of completed undergraduate or graduate education, the awarded college degree should be in one of -or- be a combination of the following disciplines: Accounting, business, finance, economics, math, statistics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizational management. GS-7-1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement GS-9-master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
