REIT Finance Group (RFG) Delivers corporate banking products and services to public and private Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Public Homebuilders including corporate-level lending, asset-level lending and capital structure advisory.

We are searching for a Wholesale Credit Program Analyst 2 to join our Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT) team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

YOUR ROLE AS A COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE FINANCIAL ANALYST IN THE REIT FINANCE GROUP:
You will work closely with the relationship managers in your office on a recurring basis to underwrite REITs at the corporate level through analysis of the borrower’s balance sheet and cash flows and develop a deep understanding of REIT portfolio fundamentals. You will also assist relationship managers as they meet with their clients on a regular basis to ensure we continue to meet their needs and to identify future opportunities. You will become an integral part of your office’s team

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assembling complex financial models that project the potential financial performance of a REIT as well as underwriting risks associated with market and industry demand, supply, expenses, capitalization rates, and tenant quality.
  • Preparing borrower/guarantor financial reviews as well as writing memorandums focused on a borrower’s and guarantor’s adjusted net worth, leverage, liquidity, and other key risk factors, including cash flows and ability to service debt.
  • Identifying credit issues early in the underwriting process and recommending ways to reduce exposure.
  • Partnering with relationship managers to structure multi-million & billion dollar transactions.
  • Reviewing and assisting in the development of loan agreements and ancillary documents related to the closing of a transaction.
  • Working alongside relationship managers ensuring compliance with Wells Fargo’s “Know Your Customer” BSA/AML requirements.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
 



Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: financial analysis, credit analysis, statistical analysis, or statement spreading; or 1+ year in Financial Analyst Program (FAP) 1 job
