Under general supervision performs complex accounting functions in connection with balancing and maintenance of ledgers, journals, financial statements and reports; participates in the design, testing, and implementation of computer application systems to incorporate better business practices; assists in establishing operating controls and guidelines to improve operation efficiency; compiles financial data and responds to inquiries by auditors; prepares financial and single audit statements; determines and analyzes records in order to comply with state and IRS regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, business or public administration and emphasis in accounting, computer science, auditing or system analysis, and two years of accounting and auditing experience.
