Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Finance Transformation Cost Analyst – Engineered to Order (ETO) to support a major transformation initiative aimed at aligning North America with global finance and costing operating models.  This is a hybrid opportunity from one of the following Schneider Electric locations:  Nashville,TN; Dallas, TX; Boston, MA; Westmont,IL.

This role is critical to improving how we track, analyze, and manage profitability over time for complex, engineered products within one of the largest and fastestgrowing areas of our business. 

This highly crossfunctional role sits at the intersection of Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and IT, combining deep costing expertise with business analysis and transformation execution. 

Role Overview 

The Finance Transformation Cost Analyst will help design and implement a standardized, scalable, and sustainable costing model for Engineered to Order products —while maintaining the flexibility required by the business. The role will support endtoend cost visibility, including factory and nonfactory costs (engineering,tendering, projectspecific costs), and contribute to broader finance transformation initiatives leveraging SAP and digital tools. 

You will partner closely with business stakeholders and transformation teams to translate requirements into solutions that create measurable business value. 

Key Responsibilities 

Costing & Profitability (ETO Focus) 

  • Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations to track and analyze ETO product costs over time—from tendering through execution. 
  • Perform detailed costing and profitability analysis for engineered products. 
  • Identify and segregate factory vs. nonfactory costs, including engineering, tendering, and projectspecific expenses. 
  • Analyze cost drivers across the value chain to support informed decisionmaking and profitability improvements. 
  • Support the alignment of North America costing practices with global standards. 

Finance Transformation & Business Analysis 

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional finance solutions. 
  • Lead stakeholder workshops to understand and validate endtoend process flows. 
  • Help define futurestate finance and costing processes aligned with global frameworks. 
  • Identify opportunities to implement bestinclass policies, processes, and controls. 
  • Maintain an endtoend vision across process, data, technology, and crossfunctional dependencies. 

SAP & Digital Enablement 

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and scrum teams to define and validate system features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 
  • Support solution development and deployment within SAP or similar ERP platforms. 
  • Participate in testing activities (feature integration testing, UAT, dayinthelife testing). 
  • Validate user stories and solutions during demos and Agile ceremonies. 
  • Act as a Finance first responder during releases to ensure business requirements are met. 

Change Management & Enablement 

  • Create training materials, test cases, and documentation for multiple user groups. 
  • Identify business changes required to support new processes. 
  • Support change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new solutions. 

 

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $86,400 - $129,600 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. 

 

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Required Qualifications & Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in Finance, Cost Accounting or Operations Finance. 
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting, product costing, and profitability analysis. 
  • Experience partnering with operations, supply chain, plant, and IT teams. 
  • Finance transformation experience preferred. 
  • Strong background in costing and financial analysis, ideally within: Plant controllingOperations financeSupply chain financeManufacturing FP&A 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required. 
  • Exposure to Engineered to Order (ETO) or complex/projectbased products strongly preferred. 
  • 3+ years of SAP experience (or similar ERP platforms). 
  • Ability to travel less than 25% for planning, testing, and golives.
