Pay varies by position and is based on multiple factors including labor market data and, depending on position, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and/or certifications. Additionally, Sportech takes into account the internal equity of current employees when considering compensation. Sportech’s reasonable and good-faith estimate for the range of new hire compensation at the time of posting for this position is between $150,000 - $170,000 annually. Pay may also include variable compensation from time to time such as overtime for non-exempt positions, shift differential for specific shifts, and/or bonus targets (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).


Job Summary

This role leads Sportech’s finance function end to end, including accounting, monthly close, cost accounting, payroll, and financial reporting. It partners with operations and supply chain to manage cost structures, inventory valuation, margins, and cash flow, providing clear analysis to support decisions. The position delivers timely, accurate reporting and summaries for Sportech leadership and Patrick Industries. It also leads and develops a finance team, setting expectations, reviewing work, and ensuring consistent execution and accountability.


Essential Job Functions

  • Owns Sportech’s finance function end to end, including FP&A, general ledger accounting, monthly close, accounts payable, payroll, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Develops, maintains, and improves core accounting processes, controls, and documentation (SOPs), including reconciliation standards and approval workflows.
  • Partners with operations and supply chain to strengthen cost accounting practices, including standard costs, BOM/routing alignment, inventory valuation, absorption, and manufacturing variances.
  • Leads forecasting, annual budgeting, and long range planning; establishes assumptions, timelines, and cross functional inputs to create aligned, credible plans.
  • Provides monthly financial analysis and insights (variance to plan/prior, margin drivers, volume/mix, productivity, working capital), highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Builds executive ready summaries and presentations for Sportech leadership and Patrick Industries, translating details into clear narratives and decisions.
  • Manages cash flow visibility and working capital (AR/AP timing, inventory, capex), identifying levers and coordinating actions with cross functional leaders.
  • Oversees accounts payable and payroll processes to ensure accurate processing, proper approvals, and strong service levels to internal stakeholders.
  • Supports internal and external audit activities as needed; ensures requested schedules and support are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
  • Drives continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting, and systems, including automation opportunities leveraging new technologies that increase accuracy, speed, and scalability.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops direct reports (FP&A Manager, Cost Accountant, HRIS Analyst, Associate Accountant); sets clear expectations, reviews work product and builds bench strength.
  • Builds strong relationships and influences across all levels of Sportech and Patrick Industries; effectively navigates priorities, escalations, and cross company collaboration.
  • Applies structured problem solving and sound judgment to resolve issues, analyze tradeoffs, and implement durable solutions.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience); CPA and/or MBA highly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including leadership experience; manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead core accounting and close processes, including reconciliations, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Strong FP&A capability, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and development of actionable business insights.
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis.
  • Ability to operate as a working manager—comfortable getting into the details while also summarizing concisely for senior leaders.
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills; ability to navigate across all levels of Sportech and with Patrick Industries partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a track record of identifying issues, developing insights, and driving solutions.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to confidentiality and strong controls.

Physical Requirements

  • Proficient in sitting for extended periods while attending meetings or working on a computer.
  • Capacity to lift and carry materials including laptops or equipment (up to 25 lbs.) as needed.
  • Dexterity to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • Comfortable moving through various environments (office, manufacturing floor and distribution center).
