Field Service Engineer

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: : Clifton, NJ

Duration: 6 Months contract

Pay Range : $50/hr – $56/hr on W2

Role Overview

Field Service Engineer responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Acts as a technical lead, ensures system performance, and maintains strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, start-up, commission, and troubleshoot BAS systems
• Lead field engineers on project assignments
• Diagnose and resolve complex HVAC/BAS issues (AHUs, CW/HW systems, VFDs)
• Perform system programming, calibration, and software loading
• Manage third-party integrations and network connectivity (TCP/IP)
• Maintain accurate documentation (as-builts, reports, logs)
• Provide on-site customer training and technical support
• Coordinate with subcontractors and cross-functional teams
• Track project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Ensure safety compliance and project quality standards

Required Skills

• Strong BAS expertise (WebCTRL preferred)
• HVAC systems knowledge (AHU, chilled water, boiler systems)
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, wireless troubleshooting)
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
