Field Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a developing engineering professional with a civil or geotechnical engineering degree to contribute to our projects. This role involves a combination of office work and field visits, applying geotechnical knowledge to assist in research, data collection, and analysis. You will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and grow your skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in research, data collection, field observation, inspection, and field and laboratory testing.
  • Prepare associated reports or sections of larger reports.
  • Evaluate routine laboratory and field data in collaboration with other technical staff and supervisors.
  • Perform basic calculations and engineering analysis.
  • Draft routine proposals and assist in the preparation of more complex proposals.
  • Perform plan drafting using CAD software.
  • Work with engineering technician crews in testing, observations, and data gathering activities on project sites.
  • Prepare daily reports documenting activities and findings.

Essential Skills

  • Civil or Geotechnical engineering degree.
  • Geotechnical engineering knowledge.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical analysis.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and engineering software.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an office setting.
Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Blue Bell, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
