You’re based in or deeply connected to Troy and the Northern Detroit suburbs. You know the courts, you know the judges, and you’ve built relationships in the local legal community. You’re proficient on day one, confident running your own cases, and not waiting for someone to tell you what to do next.

What You'll Be Doing

• Handling a full caseload of family law matters with autonomy (divorce, custody, support, property division, prenups)
• Helping shape the direction of our Michigan office as it scales
• Representing Merel Family Law in the Michigan legal community and building referral relationships
• Mentoring junior team members as the office grows

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge in Law and Family Law
• Experience addressing Legal Issues and drafting Motions
• Skills in supporting Depositions and related legal procedures
• Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Enrollment in or completion of an accredited law school program
