McGovern Medical SchoolatUTHealth Houstoninvites applications from exceptional investigators researching, assessing risk factors, and improving outcomes for populations, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric populations, to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level (commensurate with experience) in theDepartment of Family & Community Medicine.
This opening provides the opportunity to join an innovative research team and the intellectual space to collaborate with current programs while developing new ideas and research directions.
Applicants' research may be focused on one or more of the following areas:
-Population health research
-Chronic disease prevention, management, and outcomes
-Primary care research
-Healthcare delivery and outcomes research
Position Key Accountabilities:
The successful applicant will be expected to maintain an innovative, collaborative, and extramurally funded research program. Primary responsibilities will include conducting externally funded research and developing collaborations across campuses, departments, and communities.
Qualifications:
(1) Doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or related
disciplines.
(2) Research emphasis in epidemiology or population healthresearch.
(3) Track record of research publications commensurate with academic rank and demonstrated potential for securing external funding.
The role will be under the supervision of both the Medical Director of the Center for Population Health Sciences and the Chair of Family and Community Medicine.
