LaGrange College seeks to fill a tenure-line position at the assistant or associate professor level in musical theatre and theatre arts beginning August 1, 2026.
An MFA with professional experience in the field is required. Candidates should have experience directing/choreographing both musicals and straight plays and a record of effective teaching of both musical theatre and theatre arts courses.
The successful candidate will teach a range of musical theatre and theatre arts courses; direct and/or choreograph in our production season; coach majors in scene study, solo, and audition techniques; and prepare majors for regional and national auditions. Vigorous recruitment of new students in both majors is key to the position. The successful candidate must also be a strong energetic leader, good communicator and collaborator invested in growing our musical theatre and theatre arts programs and actively recruiting and mentoring students.
