Facility Security Officer

ManTech seeks a motivated, career-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our team in Stafford, VA. This is an onsite position.

This position requires extensive knowledge in multiple disciplines such as Industrial Security, Information Security (INFOSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), and Personnel Security (PERSEC). Proficiency in the use of security related databases such as Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and National Industrial Security System (NISS) is also required. This role supports multiple contracts, facilities, and personnel with a high operational flow and dynamic mission set.

Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing day-to-day Security Management at a possessing site and providing daily assistance across multiple programs meeting all NISPOM and DCSA requirements.
  • Manages 2 team members, multiple buildings, the security training program, and the site’s FCL while overseeing the CMCC (Classified Material Control Center) Program at the collateral and SCI level..
  • Develops and maintains Prime and Subcontract DD254’s for local Programs.
  • Leads the Security team in self-inspections and during yearly DCSA Audits.
  • Supports SSO/CSSO requirements such as SCI indoctrinations and accreditation.
  • Reviews and investigates all infractions/violations and submits Incident Reports to DCSA when needed.
  • Serves as the primary COMSEC Custodian, assisting in inventory and inspections as applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education/work experience. 4+ years of program security experience
  • Facility Security Officer for Possessing Curriculum Certificate
  • Strong working knowledge of the NISPOM/NISPOM RULE 32 CFR and DISS as activities will include personnel security, technical security, and operations security and experience coordinating with various government agencies to obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with various government regulations and the NISPOM/NISPOM RULE 32 CFR
  • Experience with customer security as needed to maintain situational awareness of security issues, alerts and notifications and process improvement, investigate security incidents and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken
  • Experience conducting initial security awareness, indoctrination briefings into program level briefings, and education training for new employees and knowledgeable in all disciplines of personnel security along with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must possess strong written communication skills and can write and communicate complex concepts to government customers and technical staff

Security Clearance:

  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situation
