We are seeking a Full-Time Facilities Painter to join our Engineering team at the Hyatt Regency DFW, conveniently located directly across from Terminal C at DFW Airport. Our hotel features 811 guestrooms and 92,000 square feet of meeting and event space, offering a dynamic yet stable work environment - all at one location.

The Role

As an Facilities Painter, you play a key role in maintaining the appearance, comfort, and quality of our guest rooms and public spaces. Unlike construction roles, this position offers the opportunity to take pride in craftsmanship without changing job sites, while being part of a supportive hotel team.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys hands-on work, variety in daily tasks, and being part of a long-term property team.

Schedule
  • Full-Time
  • Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Flexible scheduling may include weekends, holidays, and as needed

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and finish interior surfaces including sheetrock patching, sanding, and painting
  • Install and repair vinyl wall covering
  • Perform ceiling repairs and assist with water remediation
  • Conduct floor tile repair and minor marble restoration
  • Maintain guestrooms and public spaces to Hyatt brand and appearance standards
  • Assist with basic facility troubleshooting (electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to support preventative maintenance efforts
What We’re Looking For
  • 1–3 years of professional painting experience in a commercial, residential, facilities, or hospitality environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship and finished appearance
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Engineering/Maintenance team members and hotel leadership
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-service mindset, especially when working in guest rooms, public spaces, or occupied areas
  • Experience with interior and exterior painting techniques
  • Manual dexterity and strong hand–eye coordination
  • Ability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and safely work at heights

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

  • Surface preparation including patching, sanding, caulking, and priming
  • Application of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, and other finishes
  • Proficient use of brushes, rollers, sprayers, and related painting tools
  • Color matching and mixing to meet brand and design standards
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, safety procedures, and technical documentation
