CPS North America plays a pivotal role in supporting our North America Operating Unit (the #1 revenue-generating business within the system).

As our Facilities Manager you will play a key role and be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of three sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-performing facilities, security, and utilities that support organizational goals.

This position oversees all building operations, preventive maintenance, assists with capital projects, vendor and contractor management, manages OPEX budgets, while leading on-site teams and driving operational efficiency. The role also partners closely with executive leadership to align facilities strategy with business objectives, manage risk and emergency preparedness, improve sustainability and space utilization, and enhance the overall workplace experience, requiring strong technical expertise, financial acumen, and leadership capability.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Negotiating contracts with external vendors.
  • Overseeing the Building Janitorial Program.
  • Managing the Building Permit Program.
  • Developing the annual budget for plant facilities.
  • Regularly reporting monthly cost performance against budget projections.
  • Scheduling necessary regulatory inspections.
  • Managing water treatment systems (including wastewater and treated water).
  • Enforcing company policies and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, including safety, food safety, and environmental policies.
  • Managing the Building Pest Control Program.
  • Manage Building Safety & Security Program.
  • Overseeing the building key, badge, and lock program.
  • Identifying and presenting cost-saving opportunities to leadership.
  • Organizing and facilitating team meetings to promote education and continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining and updating process documentation within company systems.
  • Collaborating effectively with the maintenance department.
  • Ensuring clear communication within the production area and across other functions.
  • Engaging employees through consistent team meetings, process improvement discussions, follow-ups on suggestions, and ongoing communication.
  • Leading employee coaching, performance management, and development efforts.
  • Being accountable for housekeeping, sanitation, and food safety practices.
  • Managing the Building Fire System Program.
  • Complying with food safety and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Executing responsibilities as outlined in standard operating procedures and addressing food safety or regulatory concerns.
  • Efficiently managing resources to ensure optimal uptime, quality, and productivity.
  • Documenting and investigating safety incidents.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving safety risks (both behavioral and facility-related).

Preferred

  • Strong multitasking abilities with experience in coaching and motivating team members in a production environment.
  • A keen focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Thorough understanding of food packaging principles along with food industry quality and safety requirements.
  • Familiarity with equipment interactions, sanitation procedures, statistical process control, critical control points, and scale-up dynamics for new products.
  • Deep knowledge of all applicable safety policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Capability to guide maintenance teams through technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience thriving in a results-oriented, fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint), with SAP knowledge being advantageous.
  • Proven leadership skills in motivating diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support Distribution Centers in Atlanta and Dallas/Fort Worth.
  • Proficient in facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, engineering, business, management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ managerial experience, including hiring, employee development, performance coaching, and managing multiple lines in a production setting, is recommended.
  • Understanding general workplace safety standards and practices, with the ability to identify and manage potential hazards.
  • Proficiency in computer use and software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Pay Range:

$137,000 - $160,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
