At Lincoln Electric Products Co. Inc., we specialize in the design, manufacture, and distribution of custom low-voltage electrical distribution equipment tailored to meet the specific applications and requirements of our customers.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fabrication Supervisor who will be responsible for leading the fabrication department by setting direction, ensuring accountability, and delivering results across safety, quality, and production. This role oversees Team Leads and fabrication personnel, ensuring daily execution aligns with the production schedule and plant goals.
The Supervisor focuses on performance management, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination, while empowering Team Leads to drive day-to-day execution on the shop floor.
While this role primarily operates Monday through Friday, occasional Saturday work may be required based on business demands. This full-time, exempt position requires a high level of teamwork, communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership & Accountability
- Own fabrication output, ensuring alignment with the Master Schedule and On-Time Delivery (OTD) goals
- Set daily and weekly production targets in partnership with the Plant Manager and Master Scheduler
- Hold Team Leads accountable for execution, efficiency, and schedule adherence
- Monitor KPIs (productivity, throughput, rework, downtime) and take corrective action as needed
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly supervise and develop Team Leads and fabrication personnel
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and disciplinary actions when necessary
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee growth and training plans
- Build bench strength and support succession planning within fabrication
Operational Oversight
- Ensure proper staffing, resource allocation, and workflow across all fabrication areas
- Remove barriers escalated by Team Leads to keep production moving
- Oversee equipment utilization and coordinate maintenance needs
- Ensure consistency in processes across shifts and teams
Quality & Safety Ownership
- Own quality outcomes for fabrication—ensure work meets engineering and company standards
- Partner with Quality to address root causes of defects and drive corrective actions
- Enforce safety standards, OSHA compliance, and company policies
- Promote a strong safety culture with zero tolerance for unsafe behavior
Continuous Improvement
- Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Drive Lean manufacturing and 5S standards across fabrication
- Identify systemic issues and implement long-term solutions (not just quick fixes)
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Engineering, Assembly, Quality, and Scheduling to ensure smooth production flow
- Communicate risks, delays, and constraints proactively to leadership
- Support new product introductions and process changes at a departmental level
Qualifications
Required:
- 8-10+ years of fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of leadership experience (Supervisor or strong Team Lead ready to step up)
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes (sheet metal, CNC, punching, bending, welding)
- Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing: switchgear, panelboards-A MUST!
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shop floor for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying noise and temperature levels

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or similar field required.
- Trade school, technical certification, or manufacturing leadership training may be consider along with experience.
- Strong practical manufacturing leadership experience within a custom fabrication, switchgear, or industrial manufacturing environment highly valued.
