In this position...
Lead for Body Exterior Plant Vehicle Team (PVT):
- Own functional warranty quality objectives for the base function (Repairs/1000, time to contain, time to resolve)
- Respond to plant/supplier issues before they leave assembly plants. Evaluate chronic and new warranty issues to push for cut off and resolution ASAP
- Co-chair Variability Reduction Team (VRT) meetings and report-outs at the plant
- Lead problem-solving, containment, and resolution of Exterior 0-3 MIS warranty
- Lead Balanced Single Agenda Quality (BSAQ) and problem resolution for warranty communication and coordination with functional engineering/plants/others, author projects, manage implementation, calculate impact, and handle warranty glidepath forecasting
- Approve current-production changes for Exterior systems
Position is located at Dearborn Truck Plant and will require occasional travel to Kansas City Assembly Plant.
What you'll do...
Support Roles
- Support supplier and Product Development requests for component changes; run requested trials
- Support major/minor launches, starting at Launch Readiness milestone with focus on quality (Launch team leads)
- Support Stop Ship and prevention - identify issues, coordinate subject matter experts, advise severity and next steps/containment; interface with Critical Concern group
- Support cost reduction objectives, including maintaining quality and completing assembly plant trials
- Support weekly Vehicle Function Group (VFG) subsystem Quality Meetings, weekly Functional Quality Reviews (FQR) with the Functional Chief Engineer, daily plant quality meeting, & monthly Vehicle Quality Reviews (VQR)
- Support plant FTT, Incoming Quality and High Hurts when design element is involved
