The F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) supports development, acquisition, fielding, modernization, and sustainment of the F-35 joint strike fighter. The F-35 JPO Security Directorate provides full spectrum multi-disciplined security support to protect F-35 technology and information across its enterprise and throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle. This includesproviding advice and servicesforprogrammatic security measures that deny unauthorized access to F-35 facilities, equipment, and resources, and protect personnel, information, and property from damage and/or loss of technology.
As theCOMSEC Engineer - Functional Lead,duties include:
Perform COMSEC engineering for the systems cryptographic and key management architecture.
Assist with National Security Agency (NSA) approval of cryptographic changes to the baseline End Cryptographic Units (ECUs) as well as new developmentsof ECUs,includesvalidatingthe usage of keying material to the operational controlling authorities.
Experiencedeveloping COMSEC key architecture, and in End Cryptological Unit (ECU) deliverables,processand certification.
Experience in cryptographic algorithms and interface with systems developers and international partners.
Familiarity with NSA UIC process.
Familiarity with KMI and EKMS systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Master’sDegree;or a bachelor's degree plus 4 yearsof additionalexperience will be considered
10+years of experiencein a role as described above withsix years’ supervisory COMSEC experience.
Specialized experience withflag-officer level briefings and senior-level interface.
Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft programs and systems.

Top SecretSalary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
