Job Title: F-16 Avionics Technician

Location: Greenville, SC

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Avionics Technicians to support modification and maintenance efforts on F-16 aircraft and other legacy fighter platforms. This role involves hands-on electrical installation, system testing, troubleshooting, and flight line support in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for technicians who have a strong fighter aircraft experience and want to work in a modern facility with a consistent schedule and long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and route electrical harnesses and wiring systems on aircraft
  • Perform operational checks and post-modification testing to validate system functionality
  • Troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems on fighter aircraft
  • Support flight line maintenance, including system testing and fault isolation
  • Conduct detailed system diagnostics and operational checks
  • Fabricate and modify wiring, including coaxial cable termination and harness builds
  • Read and interpret technical orders, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with aircraft specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as an Avionics Technician
  • Fighter aircraft experience (any platform required)
  • Strong experience in avionics systems, electrical troubleshooting, and modifications
  • Ability to perform system testing and fault isolation
  • Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with F-16 aircraft or legacy fighter platforms
  • Experience with flight line operations and maintenance
  • Proficiency in harness fabrication and avionics testing procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret avionics schematics and technical data

Work Environment

  • Located in Greenville, SC, at a large aviation campus with 16 hangars and over 1 million square feet of covered workspace
  • 4x10 schedule:
    • Option 1: Monday – Thursday
    • Option 2: Thursday – Sunday
  • 1st shift standard, with opportunities for 2nd shift (shift differential included)
  • Fast-paced environment supporting modification, testing, and flight line operations

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hr.
