Join our team as a Day Shift Extruder Operator in Manteno, IL, reporting to the Production Supervisor. In this role, you’ll operate and maintain extrusion lines that keep production running safely, efficiently, and at high quality. This position works a 12-hour night shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) on a 2-2-3 schedule, giving you built-in days off and every other weekend off.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines to meet production goals for speed, uptime, and quality
• Monitor product quality and record inspection results accurately
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and partner with maintenance for resolution
• Perform line changeovers, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance
• Package and label finished product to meet specifications
• Follow all safety standards and support a safe work environment
• Complete production and quality documentation in a timely manner
• Support team operations to keep lines running efficiently

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Manufacturing or extrusion experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work a 12-hour night shift (2-2-3 schedule)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
• Reliable work history and willingness to learn
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation Information:

Compensation Information
For Days- The hourly range for a Machine Operator 1 is $20.00 to $24.00. The pay rate for a successful candidate will depend on the geographic location, this pay range is for a successful candidate in the Chicagoland area. The specific hiring rate within the posted range will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
