Expert Instructor - Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI

SkillUpTech
Seattle, WA

SkillUp Online is seeking one of the best available instructors in the Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI-for-PM space to deliver two high-stakes, in-person training sessions for Microsoft's CELA team — Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs — at a corporate summit. This is a premium engagement, and the selection standard reflects that.

The CELA audience is not a beginner group. These are senior professionals with established project management fluency who will evaluate the instructor's technical mastery, facilitation authority, and contextual judgment simultaneously. A strong technology background without senior audience credibility will not be sufficient. Strong facilitation credentials without genuine Copilot and Planner depth will be equally insufficient. This engagement requires both, operating at the highest level.

The sessions are designed around three live demonstration and hands-on practice cycles. The instructor must demonstrate Copilot workflows in Microsoft Planner in real time, guide participant practice across CELA-specific PM scenarios, and facilitate structured debriefs that connect AI capability to real workflow behaviour change. This is expert-practitioner delivery — not content presentation.

What 'Premium Grade' Means for This Engagement We are not sourcing for availability. We are sourcing for calibre. The right instructor for this engagement will meet a very specific intersection of criteria — and meeting two of the three is not sufficient.

Expert-grade Microsoft 365 Copilot fluency: Not certification-level awareness, but applied mastery — knowing how Copilot behaves across Planner workflows, where prompts succeed, where they require iteration, and how to demonstrate this transparently in front of a critical audience. Senior corporate facilitation authority: 10–15 years of ILT delivery to corporate professionals at senior levels — legal, policy, finance, executive, or equivalent. The ability to hold a room that will probe, challenge, and test. Gravitas earned through experience, not projected through confidence. Workflow transformation framing: The ability to position AI-in-PM as an operating model shift, not a tool tutorial. This audience will not engage with feature walkthroughs. They will engage with precision, business logic, and honest answers about where AI adds value and where it does not.

Expert Competency Profile Required:

Microsoft Copilot — Applied Expert Microsoft Planner — Power User AI in PM Workflows

Senior ILT Facilitation (10–15 Yrs) Prompt Engineering — Live Delivery Enterprise Workforce Transformation - Legal / Compliance Context - Fluency Hands-On Lab Facilitation Structured Debrief Facilitation - Real-Time Tool Demonstration Behaviour Change Framing - C-Suite / Senior Audience Delivery

Scope of Engagement:

Pre-Session Preparation (Remote — Approx. 4–5 Hours)

  • Conduct a thorough review of the SkillUp-designed session plan, CELA scenario bank, and prompt scaffold materials — and provide expert input on any refinements that would improve participant impact
  • Participate in one mandatory alignment call with the SkillUp Delivery Lead (60 minutes) covering session architecture, CELA audience profile, Copilot environment specifics, and contingency protocols
  • Independently validate all Copilot and Planner workflows in the summit tenant or an equivalent M365 environment — with full scenario testing across all three practice exercises
  • Design and communicate a professional fallback protocol for any Copilot unavailability, latency issues, or output anomalies that may occur during live delivery
  • Confirm all technical, A/V, and room requirements with the SkillUp coordinator with sufficient lead time

Delivery Day — Expert Facilitation

  • Arrive at venue a minimum of 45 minutes before the first session for environment verification, device confirmation, and personal preparation — no exceptions
  • Deliver Session 1 (90 minutes) to CELA Cohort A: three live Copilot demonstration cycles interleaved with structured participant hands-on practice and facilitated debriefs — covering project plan generation, status summarisation, and meeting agenda creation in Microsoft Planner
  • Deliver Session 2 (90 minutes) to CELA Cohort B — same session architecture, differentiated scenario selection, and adjusted debrief emphasis per the session brief
  • During hands-on segments: move through the room with purpose — observe participant prompt construction, intervene with precision coaching (not instruction), and surface teaching moments for the group without embarrassing individuals
  • Facilitate three structured debriefs across each session — connecting participant Copilot outputs to real CELA workflow implications; this is where the premium value is delivered, not in the demonstrations
  • Manage both sessions to time with expert precision: if pressure arises, demonstrations flex; debriefs and hands-on practice time do not
  • Administer end-of-session pulse check and distribute the SkillUp prompt reference card with a credible, expert close

Post-Session (Remote — Approx. 1.5 Hours)

  • Participate in a 45-minute post-delivery debrief with the SkillUp Delivery Lead — provide expert facilitation assessment, not just a status report
  • Submit a structured facilitation debrief note: participant engagement quality, prompt scaffold performance, Copilot output anomalies, CELA-specific observations, and any recommended adjustments for future sessions
  • Be available to address any outstanding participant
