This position serves as the special assistant/advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Prison Operations and is responsible for serving as the Liaisons for the Deputy Assistant Secretary with the parish Sheriffs, Local Level Jail Wardens and TWP administrators.
This roll gives you the opportunity to highlight your self-motivation and communication skills while coordinating and assisting in all manners related to the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary.
-Review and screen local facilities transfers
-Maintain the special agent cards database
-Respond to inquiries received via e-email, telephone and/or personal appearance from state agencies, elected state and federal officials, DOC Headquarters, offender families, and institutional staff.
-Coordinate and supervise special projects as assigned by the Deputy Assistant Secretary.
-Experience with CAJUN, CIPRS, Outlook, and the Lotus Notes Database.
-Support the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Prison Operations.
