A highly anticipated, chef-driven restaurant is preparing to open its doors in McLean, and we’re looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join the opening team. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape the kitchen, build the team, and bring a new concept to life from day one.

The RoleAs Sous Chef, you’ll be a key partner to the Executive Chef, helping to lead daily operations while setting the tone for culture, standards, and execution. You’ll play a hands-on role in both the opening process and ongoing service, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across the board.
Job Duties- Support all aspects of kitchen operations, from prep through service
- Help hire, train, and develop a cohesive, high-performing culinary team
- Drive consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution
- Assist with ordering, inventory, and cost control initiatives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment
- Contribute to menu execution and operational systems
- Play an integral role in pre-opening setup, training, and launch execution
Qualifications- 2–5+ years of experience in upscale or polished casual kitchens
- Opening experience is a strong plus
- Hands-on leader who leads from the line and earns team respect
- Strong understanding of kitchen systems, organization, and flow
- Experience with food costing, inventory, and ordering
- Calm under pressure with the ability to execute in a high-volume setting
- Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Compensation- Salary: $75K
