Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations in Akron, Ohio. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen functions, including menu development, staff management, food quality, and cost control. This role requires strong leadership, a passion for exceptional cuisine, and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative, seasonal menus aligned with the restaurant’s concept and brand
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency
- Manage, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Control food and labor costs, including inventory management and vendor relations
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality
- Collaborate with management on specials, promotions, and events
- Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
- Creativity and passion for culinary excellence
