What You Will Do:
Ensures the integrity of all environments through the Release Management lifecycle, which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, Projects and Programs. Assists upholding the ET Release Calendar in working closely with the ET teams and creating a centralized view of all releases to provide guidance and analysis of release scheduling. Supports Change Management in planning, scheduling and controlling the transition of releases through various environments from inception through production. Upholds and governs the Release Management strategic process and ensures all procedures are kept consistent and relevant, and all responsibilities are met in a timely manner. Provides overall coordination and analysis of all releases and implementation plans to determine readiness of each release based on release criteria and quality. Prepares deployment schedules and procedures for all necessary releases. Coordinates with vendors, internal teams, and when necessary, various lines of business to efficiently organize, schedule, and execute deployments. Assists project management in identifying interdependencies for release milestone adherence. Independently ensures release plans and release components are properly document, correctly packages, and understood by support teams. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
What We Will Require:
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or Business-related field or comparable education or comparable experience. Minimum three (3) years in release management experience or a software development, technical integration or business operations environment. Minimum of one (1) year in a Project Analyst, Project Coordinator, or equivalent project administrative role. In-depth knowledge of the financial services business and the capabilities/features and functions of the systems and applications available to support them. Must be analytical and detail oriented. Strong process management and improvement skills. Outstanding teamwork, inter-personal, facilitation, organizational, listening and communication skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Knowledge of distributed and mainframe infrastructure, technology and concepts with ability to quickly grasp new technologies, applications and concepts. Basic understanding of structured application development methodology and principals, understanding of structured environments using distinct development, test, and production environments. Able to work in a team environment, meet deadlines and take on responsibility and accountability. Working knowledge of business process methodologies and experience in process management activities. Able to mentor/coach team members in understanding the established change management practices, guidelines, and procedures.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
Build and Manage the ET Release Calendar to centralize view of all releases. Manage risks and work with Release Manager/Supervisor to resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality. Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations. Conduct Release Readiness analysis, Playbook Reviews, and Go/No-Go reviews. Produce Deployment Playbooks and Implementation Plans. Communicate release details and schedules to the Change Analyst for Line of Business dissemination as required. Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities. Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists (times vary).
