Estimator/Inside Sales � JOB SUMMARY: The Estimator must be well versed in Auto CAD and reading architectural plans. Responsibilities include generating material estimates, operating estimating software, operating Auto CAD and designing and estimating tapered roof insulation systems for the commercial roofing industry. � ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Receive roof plans, review, modify, and release plans using a CAD system. � POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Equipment� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � Maintain working knowledge of all equipment and software needed to perform duties of position � � � Design� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � Produce owner drawings, custom detailed drawings, modify and release drawings using a CAD system. � Value Engineering� � � � Alternate suggestions should be made to the requesting party of how to offer a more cost effective design. � Communication� � � � � � � � � Consistent and clear communication between branch personnel and sometimes directly with contractor. � Record Keeping� � � � � � � � � Assist team with order entry and inventory inquiries. Responsible for “filing” all jobs that have been quoted so they can be easily accessed up until 2 years from date of quote. � Accountability� � � � � � � � � � � Reports directly to the Branch Manager. � Branch Sales� � � � � � � � � � � � � � Meet expectations as determined by the Branch Manager and budget as it relates to Branch Total Sales, specifically: Warehouse Sales and Budget, Direct Sales as well as the number of New Accounts opened. � � � Product Knowledge � � Act as a consultant with regard to the characteristics, uses and benefits of the entire line of products that can be used in the marketplace.
