Are you an expert in capital cost estimating for massive transit programs? We are currently seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Estimator to join our team in the Project Controls Office.


This is a key role where you will perform as a team member responsible for developing comprehensive cost estimates. The successful candidate will oversee the development of all capital cost estimates for one of the nation's most ambitious infrastructure projects, guiding projects from the conceptual planning level through to final design and construction.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Work in the development of all capital cost estimates as Owner's Rep for the Authority, spanning from planning conceptual levels to final design.
  • Develop policies and procedures for programmatic cost estimating.
  • Support the development of the bi-annual Programmatic Business Plan capital cost estimates, Program Baselines, and Project Update Reports.
  • Facilitate the development of information used for estimates with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the review of Contractor estimates and claims.
  • Supervise junior and mid-level estimators and cost analysts.
  • Create estimate plans to deliver complete estimates that comply with strict program requirements.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

To be successful in this high-impact role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Science/Management.
  • Must have 15+ years of estimating experience.
  • 10 years in transit work with typical project sizes over $1B.
  • Possess deep knowledge of design and construction disciplines, including means and methods used on the Program and transit infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate internal and external resources to develop accurate cost estimates within a schedule-driven environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and generate quantities, work breakdown structures (WBS), and detailed scopes of work.
  • Expertise with Timberline and Heavy Bid, and electronic quantity surveying systems.
