Location: 100% REMOTE -- MUST BE IN TEXAS

Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Compensation: $130 - $250k + bonus (Comp is dependent on level and experience)


Summary:

Our client, an established full-service public accounting firm with deep roots in Texas, is seeking a senior Estate & Trust Tax professional with a clear path to Partner. This role leads complex tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth individuals, private foundations, and family offices, while managing and developing a team of tax professionals. It is fully remote within the state of Texas.

What You'll Own

  • Develop and execute comprehensive tax strategies for high-net-worth clients focused on wealth transfer and tax minimization.
  • Manage and review estate, gift, and trust tax returns for accuracy and full regulatory compliance.
  • Advise clients and the firm on evolving tax code changes and their implications for estate and trust matters.
  • Structure and oversee private foundation compliance, including all tax requirements.
  • Partner with family offices to address tax implications and optimize financial structures.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals on complex T&E issues.
  • Manage client relationships and expectations across a diverse, multi-generational HNW client base.


Must-Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in estate and trust tax planning and compliance.
  • Active Texas CPA license.
  • Strong knowledge of private foundations and family office structures, including related tax implications.
  • Experience managing and reviewing estate, gift, and trust tax returns.
  • Proven team leadership and staff development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with sufficient accounting hours to meet Texas CPA requirements.


Nice to Have

  • Experience advising multi-generational family wealth structures.
  • Background in closely held business succession planning.
  • Prior involvement in business development or client origination.
