A well-established and growing Boston-based law firm is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney to join its sophisticated trusts and estates practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level attorney looking to build long-term expertise in estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and client advisory work within a collaborative and client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives
- Assist clients with comprehensive estate planning strategies tailored to individual and family needs
- Support senior attorneys on complex estate and tax planning matters
- Participate in client meetings and maintain ongoing client relationships
- Conduct legal research related to estate, gift, and tax planning issues
- Assist with trust funding and estate administration matters as needed
Qualifications
- 1–5 years of estate planning and/or trusts & estates experience
- Active admission to the Massachusetts Bar (or eligibility for admission)
- Strong drafting, analytical, and client communication skills
- Experience preparing estate planning documents preferred
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is a plus but not required
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
Compensation:
- Full-time
- Salary range: $165,000-$200,000 annually + performance bonuses(Factors that may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.)
