Senior Analyst - Long/Short Equity (Single Manager style)

Our client, a major hedge fund managing tens of billions in AUM, seeks a mid-career L/S Equity Analyst covering Business Services, IT/Information Services, and adjacencies (e.g. FinTech, Exchanges, Payment Providers, and other non-balance-sheet Financials).
You will be joining a multibillion fundamental equities division, which invests Single Manager L/S style. This is a rare opportunity to do long duration, high conviction, deep-dive investment with an experienced team of Tier 1 pedigree.
About you
- Proven specialism in Business Services or Information Services Equities (potentially within a broader TMT/Industrials/Financials/FinTech coverage).
- We will prioritise candidates currently working in L/S Equity, but other buyside profiles will be considered (Long Only, Private Equity), especially where deep fundamental analysis skills are evident.
- Sellside Equity Research candidates will be considered if they have covered the space in depth for at least 4 years on a high-performing Tier 1 team and have prepared thoroughly for L/S interview processes.
- Strong critical thinking and deep analytical skills are vital, as well as a capacity to independently generate investment ideas.
Package
- Compensation is primarily loaded on to the annual performance-related component, and will be highly competitive.
- Base salary ranging from 180,000 to 260,000 USD dependent on experience.
