Work Unit: The purpose of the Communicable Disease Branch (CDB) is to monitor, investigate, and control epidemic and communicable diseases affecting the public health in Colorado, as required under Colorado statute including: invasive bacterial diseases; foodborne/enteric diseases; waterborne diseases; respiratory diseases; vaccine preventable diseases; healthcare-associated infections; tuberculosis; COVID-19; and zoonotic/vectorborne diseasesResidency Requirement:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:Five (5) years of relevant experience in public health, health education, health communication, emergency management, or working in a planning capacity with public health communities and stakeholders with programs and services regulated by the state or in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
OR
A combination of related education in public health, health administration, health communication, ,epidemiology, nursing, biology, emergency management and/or relevant experience in public health, health education, health communication, emergency management, or working in a planning capacity with public health communities and stakeholders with programs and services regulated by the state or in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position equal to five (5) years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
In addition to the minimum requirements, the successful candidate in this position will have the following highly desirable experience and competencies:
