Job Title: Epic Applications Analyst IV (Phoenix – Transplant)

Duration: 12-month contract with potential extension up to 3 years

Location: San Francisco, CA 94109 || Hybrid (50% onsite required / 50% remote)


Note: Candidate should be able to relocate without assistance


First 90 Days:

• Learn current Epic and transplant workflows

• Build relationships with transplant stakeholders

• Conduct current-state workflow assessments

• Deliver actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, care coordination, and patient experience


Summary:

This role supports Epic Phoenix within Sutter Health’s transplant program, focusing on optimizing and standardizing workflows across outpatient transplant operations. The analyst will assess current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and design improved workflows across referrals, evaluation, waitlist management, and longitudinal care.

This is not a ticket-based support role. It requires hands-on experience with implementation-level workflow development and optimization and the ability to operate as an independent contributor.


Requirements:

• Epic Phoenix certification (required)

• Epic Ambulatory OR ClinDoc certification (required)

• 5+ years of Epic application analyst experience in healthcare environments

• Experience with multi-organ transplant centers across healthcare organizations

• Experience with Epic Phoenix implementation, workflow design, and optimization (not just support)

• Experience in outpatient transplant workflows including referrals, evaluation, and waitlist management

• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal oversight

• Experience with cross-functional coordination, escalation, and project support

• Proficiency in workflow analysis, process improvement, and operational standardization


Preferred:

• Experience with Epic Phoenix billing workflows or revenue cycle integration (strong plus)

• Experience training end users and supporting adoption of Epic workflows

• Experience working within large health systems or enterprise EHR environments

• Ability to support change management and stakeholder alignment initiatives

• Experience partnering with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders
