B. Licensure / Certification
• Valid Drivers License preferred.
C Special Skill / Aptitudes
• Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels ofhospital personnel, outside customers and community groups.
Ability to bend and stoop, push, pull and manage equipment of up to 250 lbs. and independently lift heavy objects up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to learn and perform various job related tasks.
Ability to work in a health care environment and be sensitive to needs and respect the dignity of patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to make decisions for the safety of patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to work with others collaboratively within a "team" environment to complete goals and tasks.
Ability to modify work plans and priorities to ensure the completion of assignments requested areaccomplished to support patient care.
Minimum Education, Licensure / Certification and Experience Required.
D. Experience
• One year of "Environmental Services Technician I" experience or similar experience in a health care setting.
One year experience in various applications of floor care cleaning and refinishing, carpet and upholsterycleaning (floor care) and operation and basic repair of various types of departmental equipment includingburnisher, scrubber and vacuum.
