Environmental & Process Safety Specialist

Your Role:

As an Environmental & Process Safety Specialist, you'll drive environmental compliance, safety procedures, and continuous improvement across the facility. From overseeing programs, leading trainings, managing environmental reporting, and handling day-to-day operations of our wastewater treatment system, you'll strive to keep production safe and sustainable.

What You'll Do:

• Manage wastewater flows (up to 30,000 gallons) and coordinate sampling and lab testing.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
• Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment system, including pH adjustment, metal
• extraction, and storage.
• Track, file, and maintain required environmental and safety reports.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; drive corrective actions.
• Lead safety trainings and toolbox talks on PPE, chemical handling, and emergency response.
• Maintain permits, safety documentation, and compliance reports (e.g., PCRs).
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and support compliance audits.

What You'll Bring:

• 3+ years of EHS experience, ideally in manufacturing or chemical processing.
• Solid knowledge of environmental reporting, safety standards, and OSHA.
• Experience with wastewater systems and chemical treatment (preferred)
• Ability to manage permits, audits, and agency relationships.
• Organized, communicative, and a team-player
