Responsible for day-to-day operations relating to the handling and customs clearance of international shipments
Classification of shipments and preparation of entry documentation specifically related to Wine & Spirits importation
Knowledge of FDA filing and other PGA’s and familiar with CBP regulations
Work closely and in conjunction with the Brokerage/ Branch / Compliance Manager to ensure efficiency in all processes within the company and department.
Communicate with US Customs officials and other government agencies as deemed necessary
Schedule pickups and deliveries on the brokerage only files
Respond to internal and external (customer) requests
Enter shipment and billing data into operational systems
Assist with payment requests and customer billing as needed
Demonstrated stress tolerance and flexibility to changing priorities
Prepare and post PSC
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Preferred - active Customs Brokerage License
3+ years Customs Brokerage import experience with an extensive and broad range of commodities. Familiarity with ADD/ CVD, FDA, EPA, F & W, CBMA, FAA, TTB
Employee must have basic user knowledge of computer programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience with Editrade is a plus
