Schedule: Monday–Thursday | Four 10‑hour shifts (3‑day weekends!)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Insulator to join our

growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable,

safety‑focused, and eager to learn or further develop their skills in the

insulation trade. You will work alongside a small, experienced crew installing

and fabricating insulation for piping, ductwork, mechanical systems, and

equipment at commercial and industrial job sites.

Long-term opportunity: Our tenured foreman is

planning to retire in Fall 2026, and the company is looking to train the right

individual to grow into a leadership role over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and replace insulation on pipes, ductwork, boilers, tanks, and mechanical systems
  • Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials including fiberglass, mineral wool, foam, and elastomeric insulation
  • Apply protective coverings such as aluminum jacketing, PVC jacketing, or canvas
  • Read and interpret basic job specifications, work orders, and blueprints
  • Safely operate common hand and power tools
  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times
  • Communicate effectively with crew leaders and team members
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards
  • Travel to job sites as required, including occasional overnight stays

Required Tools (Day One Requirement)

Employees will be sent home after safety training if

tools are not present.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Mechanically inclined
  • Prior experience in insulation, construction, HVAC, or mechanical trades preferred, but not required (willing to train)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces
  • Able to read a tape measure
  • Comfortable working at heights ranging from a 6’ ladder up to a 60’ boom lift (proper PPE provided)
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the shop or job sites
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to travel overnight when required

  • Strong team‑based environment with direct communication

  • Monday–Thursday, typically 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Start/stop times may vary by project
  • Overtime available on Fridays
  • Rare Saturdays (not required)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
